Nextbit launches Robin smartphone on May 25th in India

Nextbit announces the launch of its new cloud based smartphone, Robin in India after it has been delayed due to regulatory approvals. The company has already started sending the media invites for the launch event which is set on May 25th, saying it has received the long awaited regulatory approval for selling the Robin smartphones in Indian market. Earlier this year, the company has planned and announced the launch of its Robin smartphone by April end, however, it has been delayed due to regulatory approvals.robin smartphone

Nextbit, the US based company has launched Robin smartphone in the US market selling at a price of $399, roughly around Rs. 26,000. And media analysts believe the handset device to be priced at the same category for selling in the Indian market.

Coming to the specifications of the device, the highlighting features include the smartphone offers it users a cloud based storage facility to address the limited storage issue, and it has a pretty decent hardware for its price. The device also has a unique feature of automatically backing up all its photos and other data that are not being used frequently to the cloud storage and free up the space on the device.robin smartphone

The device which runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow comes with specifications that include a 5.2-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) display, powered by Qualcomm’s hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor paired with 3GB of RAM, 32GB of inbuilt storage, and a fingerprint sensor. Although the inbuilt storage is non expandable for the device, it sports a 100GB of free cloud storage space.

The handset device which comes in two color variants Mint and Midnight, sports a 13 MP rear camera, a 5 MP front facing camera, a 2680mAh battery, and a USB Type-C charging port.
