A look at the new OnePlus 3 – a review

The OnePlus brand has always been a big and strong player in the market, with some of the finest smartphones in the market, which have the ability to compete with all the other flagship smartphones, and that too at lower prices. The phones from OnePlus provide equal or better features than all the iPhones and Galaxies, but they ensure that there is no compromise on quality and performance in the phones.

Even after being a brand that only took its first steps in the smartphone market a few years ago, OnePlus has exhibited a certain level of efficiency through its phones, which are truly head turners. The first few models were only teenagers compared to the new and more mature release, the OnePlus 3, which has been launched as a true player in the market, with mature features, and high grade performance.

OnePlus was only available to those users, who were invited to make the purchase on some shopping website. But with the advent of the new model, and its upcoming launch, the entire concept of INVITE ONLY has been permanently removed, as the phone will be available in about 31 nations on different websites as well as at physical stores. Let us now take a look at what the new OnePlus 3 is all about.

The design

OnePlus-3
The design of the OnePlus 3 is of a mature and grown up variety, with the entire body made out of aluminium. The feel of the device is similar to any Galaxy or Iphone that you get your hands on. Although there is nothing new about how the phone looks, as the design specs are mostly similar to HTC, no one is calling the OnePlus 3 a copycat smartphone, because of its sheer manliness.

The display

OnePlus-3
With a 5.5 inch AMOLDED Optic display, that supports screen resolution of about 1920 x 1080 pixels, the OnePlus 3 is a considerably strong competitor in the DISPLAY department, when it is compared to other high end devices in the market. The large screen and the high resolution are one of the prime factors that draw smartphone users towards the OnePlus 3.

The functionality and the interface

The OnePlus 3 comes with the pre-installed Android Marshmallow 6.0.1, which is the latest Android version currently in the market. The UI is the Oxygen OS interface, which gives the OnePlus 3 the exact feel which Nexus users feel. The solid materialistic design clubbed with the large display and Android v6 makes this phone a champion.

The processor, the performance and the memory

The OnePlus 3 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, Adreno 530 GPU, Spectra ISP, X12 LTE modem and Kryo CPU, coupled with 64 GB internal storage, and 6 GB RAM. The processor being the most vital component of a smartphone, it can be said without any doubt that OnePlus 3 is a powerful player.

The camera

The OnePlus 3 comes with a Sony IMX298 16 megapixel primary camera, which is filled to the brim with an extensive array of features. The front camera is quite powerful at 8 megapixels.
