Xiaomi Redmi 4 VOLTE Phone with Powerful Battery
Xiaomi is launching all kinds of phones targeted at different kinds of users. Some phones have extremely good battery whereas others have a good camera. Overall, their phones are a good package, and you won’t regret buying them. REDMI is the budget series of this Chinese company and REDMI 4 is a successor to the REDMI 3.
Design and Display
Xiaomi Redmi 4 is a low budget phone with great features. It has a metallic body and comes in three colours- gold, silver and dark grey. It weighs 156 grams, which is slightly bulky. It sports 5 inches display and measures 141.30 x 69.60 x 8.90 mm. It comes with a High Definition display of 720 *1280 pixels. Kindly note the display is not full HD. The display type is IPS LCD and not AMOLED display. The pixel quality is okay with a pixel density of 294ppi. The screen is not protected by any scratch resistant display and also is not water resistant.
The front of the phone is clean, with no branding on the front side. There is no physical home button on this device like all Xiaomi phones. Instead, there are three visible capacitive keys, with a back key on the right side. Above the display, lies the 5 MP front camera. There is no front LED flash in this device.
Flipping the phone, there is 13 MP rear camera with dual LED flash next to it. Below the camera lies the fast fingerprint scanner which is round in shape. The back cover and battery are non-removable. The power button, as well as the volume keys, are on the right side of the phone. There is a hybrid SIM slot on the left side of the phone. This phone has a hybrid SIM slot meaning either you can use two SIMs or one SIM and a micro SD card. The 3.5 mm headphone jack is present on the top of the phone and USB port lies at the bottom of the phone.
Performance:
Xiaomi Redmi 4 is packagedwith1.4 GHz octa-core processor and is powered by2 GB RAM. It uses Snapdragon430 chipset. Handling the graphics load is on Adreno 505 GPU. The performance is okay on this phone, and it gives you improved multitasking. Even gaming is smooth.
Software:
Xiaomi Redmi 4 runs on Android marshmallow 6.0.1. It also has its own MIUI8 on top, which gives additional features. There is no app drawer;the homescreen installs all the apps. The user interface is similar to iPhone.
Camera:
Xiaomi Redmi 4 has 16MP rear camera which is really good in this price range. It also has dual LED flash and other features like Auto Focus, Face Detection, HDR, Panorama Mode, and Geo-tagging. It has the aperture of 2.2 F and image resolution of 4128 x 3096 Pixels. It also supports video recording at 1920×1080 @ 30 fps and 1280×720 @ 120 fps. 4K video is missing which is okay considering the price point. It also lacks Optical Image Stabilization. There are live filters,which you can use to enhance your photos.
The rear camera is 5 MP without the flash. It has the aperture of 2.2 F and still does its job pretty well. There is no autofocus in this camera.
Storage:
Xiaomi Redmi 4 has 16 GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 128 GB. But the drawback is that the phone has a hybrid SIM slot, which means you cannot use dual SIM and a microSD card simultaneously. You either have to use one SIM and microSD card or both SIM’s and card.
Battery:
Xiaomi Redmi 4 has huge and powerful battery of 4100 mAH. The battery is really good for this price point. The battery is sealed inside the body which means the battery is non-removable.Additionally, it also supports fast charging which is really impressive considering the low cost of the phone.
Connectivity:
Xiaomi Redmi 4 is a dual SIM Phone which supports 4GVOLTE/3G/2G in one SIM. The second SIM is also 4G supported. First SIM is micro SIM and the second SIM is NANO, which also acts as a hybrid SIM slot for memory card. SIM tray ispresent on the left side of the phone. It supports microUSB 2.0 and uses Bluetooth version 4.1
Price:
Being a low-budget phone, expected Xiaomi Redmi 4 price in India is said to be about Rs.6990.

Xiaomi Redmi 4 is a great phone with amazing features at low price. It has a powerful battery that also supports fast charging which is missing in some of the flagship phones of the other brands. The camera quality is quite impressive for this range. Overall, it is a budget-friendly phone which won’t disappoint you.
