These low-poly, high detail wonders are perfect for various videogames, especially ones meant for mobile phones and virtual reality headsets (esp. mobile headsets). So look here, potential game developer, and marvel at the stock 3D models that could be at your fingertips! Marvel and be inspired to create videogames that will shape the future!

Cascading waterfall spring 3D low poly model by IterateCGI

1

Look at this gorgeous cascade waterfall and/or spring. I want to lay down there for a soak. These naturally forming spring baths look just the like the real thing, and they will look gorgeous in any cave or mountainside of your videogame. Or go nuts, add it to your immersive presentation… or a movie about playing monkeys.

HQ LowPoly Ferrari 488 GTB 2016 by squir

2

Vroom, vroom! The grace of Italian design meets the low-poly craftsmanship of experienced modelers! This Ferrari 488 GTB is a beauty, and an exquisitely detailed one at that. However, that level of detail comes at a price: at 50,000 polygons, it’s about to reach the upper limit of acceptable polycount. On the other hand, it’s perfect for racing games, where you will save your polygon budget at the expense of environment. Hey, as long as the cars are nice…

Kevin Magnussen 2016 by mikebibby

3

Here comes Renault’s Kevin Magnussen, a Formula-1 driver presented in about 10,000 polygons! This awesome low-poly model is rigged, so you’ll have an easier time posing him. However, much like Stig, this Magnussen doesn’t have a face – the helmet is permanently on! Still, what else do you want from an F1 driver? Victories, of course, but those are for your players to provide.

Airbus 380-8 Lufthansa by DUST

4

This is some serious civil aviation! The Airbus 380-8 Lufthansa passenger airliner comes sporting the colors of the German air company Lufthansa. It’s also fully animated and rigged – you can see how the wheels unfold and the various bits of aeronautics that I can’t name move in their positions. A remarkably beautiful model for such a low polygon count!

Sniper Rifle KSR-29 by dennish2010

5

You will not  find the KSR-29 rifle in the hands of any sniper in the world, because this gun is the creation of dennish2010. So it probably doesn’t fit into your grognardy, extremely realistic military simulator, but it’s a nice gun nonetheless. It will work for your sci-fi shooters, RTS sniper units and many other things. After all, AWP is kind of overplayed and everyone is toting the Barrett M82 these days. Be original!

Horsemans Pick by samitze

6

It crushes, it pierces, and it does it all while you’re riding horseback. It’s the horseman’s pick! This majestic melee weapon is exquisitely textured by the modeler, giving it the amount of detail that would otherwise eat up an enormous amount of polygons. If you’re looking to make a dueling game or something inspired by A Game of Thrones, look no further!

Ant 3D VeryNice by affekta

7

Aaaagh, ants! Well, it’s just one low-poly ant, but you can still be afraid! For one, it’s well detailed and will look scary in any VR picnic you decide to throw it into. On the other hand, the model is a little too detailed to be just an ant-sized ant, so you’re better off making either an educational presentation or a fantasy game where you fight off an invasion by giant ants.

Old Gothic Castle by brothermechanic

8

It’s more of a chapel than a castle, but it’s surely big! That’s why it has a larger polycount – it’s a level instead of a character. I can already see dueling JRPG characters or a dramatic showdown over a forced wedding. Maybe even add some vampire at night! Point is, it’s large, it’s detailed, and it’s bound to be dramatic.

Tree roots stump 3d scan by mark_florquin

9

Scanned with a 24MP camera and then retopologized with Zbrush, it’s one hell of clump of roots! If you need some realistic clutter for your forest scene, here’s the prime choice. Maybe you could get away with making it into some sort of pixy palace, too.

Womens Boots by sanchiesp

10

These boots were modeled for walking and that’s just what they’ll do. Well, that’s what they’ll do after you buy and insert them into a project of yours. You might go as far as to make a CGI cat sleep in them. Everything is possible with boots as comfortable-looking as this. In fact, I just want to touch them and feel how soft they are.

So there you have it, the best low-poly models that CGTrader had on offer this March. As you see, there’s some variety in them, from animals to cars and weapons. This means that you will always find a range of options when you’re looking for models. This also means that there’s a lot of space for the creatives out there, too!
