Samsung S6 Edge+ and the Note 5 Verses Their Predecessors

Samsung S6 Edge+

When Samsung introduced the 5.3-inch screen Galaxy Note back in 2011, they gave the world a reason to laugh. Those who tried it had a hard time using the device with one hand. Four years later, this phone no longer seems so big after all. In fact, the 5.3-inch Note has now been dwarfed by the Samsung’s newly unveiled 5.7 Samsung S6 Edge+ and the Note 5. The two new devices have Samsung die-hard clients talking. They are sleeker, better and higher performing giant phones in the long line up of Samsung devices in the market.

The big announcement by Samsung Electronics was made on the 13th of August introducing the Note phablet to forerun the next iPhone phablet  scheduled for release this year. The South Korean electronics giant aims to regain its competitive edge in the market, which its main competitor, Apple, has been encroaching with every new device release. To achieve this, the S6 Edge+ and the Note 5 are designed for heavy users. Besides the obvious extra screen space, 5.7 inches, the device users will also enjoy more processing power.

The two phones will be available in the United States on August 21. However, you can pre order the devices available in the AT& T, T-Mobile, Best Buy, Sprint, as well as Verizon.

Here are a few reasons why the new smartphones differ from their predecessors, Note 4 and the Note 4 Edge.

The Galaxy Note 5

At the first glance, the Note 5 looks slightly smaller and thinner. The device is only 0.3 inches thin and six inches in height with its width measuring just 3 inches wide. Although smaller than the Note 4, this does not compromise on the 5.7-inch screen. The Note 5 boasts of its great camera. Users will be able to enjoy high quality selfies thanks to the 5 MP, unlike the 3.7 MP in the Note 4. Users will also be able to enjoy the viewing the shots on 4k TV as well as HD live broadcast feature for Periscope and Meerkat live streaming.

Other ways in which the Galaxy Note 5 beats its predecessor with the improved pen that now lets users scroll and capture features and screen shots entire websites. Buyers will choose from four-color options and two memory size variants. These colors are black, gold, white, and silver. However, only black and gold colors will be available in the US. The available memory capacities include 32GB and 64GB without an expandable SD slot.

Just like in the Note 5, users will enjoy great video shots on 4k TV as well as a new live streaming feature that allows users to broadcast on YouTube in HD.
