This Smartphone comes with better features and a slightly longer battery life. The rumors of this upgrade had become a hot topic of discussion even while the initial model was first launched in 2015. The phone is not available in general market yet and the only way to get it is through a Chinese ecommerce platform. The price has been pegged at CYN 3499 which roughly converts to 35,700 INR. Pricing will get clear only after its launch in India as well. Amusingly, the phone variant is yet to be made available on the Samsung china’s website. This indicates that, it may take a while before any related news comes out.

The Galaxy A9 Pro features dual nano sim (GSM+GSM), slightly more powerful rear camera, a slightly higher capacity battery and an extra GB of memory. The rear camera in Galaxy A9 Pro is improved to 16 megapixel and the RAM is improved to 4 GB, as against 13 megapixel rear camera and slightly lower 3 GB RAM in 2015 model. The camera sports the same specification of LED flash and aperture of f/1.9 with optical image stabilisation (OIS). If you complained about not having more juice in the battery of your 2015 phone, this newer pro model has bettered it slightly at 5000 mAh as compared to 4000 mAh previously.

Other standards features that have been continued in this newer model are glass body with metal frame, android lollipop 5.1 as operating system and a 6 inch full-HD screen. The HD screen resolves to 1080X1920 pixels with 2.5D curved glass Super Amoled display. The processor is 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 SoC which is clocked at 1.8 GHz. The processor is paired together with Adreno 510 GPU for a better graphics experience.

The front 8 megapixel camera supports a number of selfie modes which will delight the lovers of selfies.  These include wide selfie mode, self-portrait and palm selfie mode. The home button doubles up as fingerprint sensor and as button to activate the pro camera.  You can connect your devices to Samsung Galaxy A9 pro using Bluetooth, NFC, Wi-Fi and USB. The color variants available for this phone are white and gold.

Although, the upgrades may not look quite significant to new buyers, old regular users of this model will really appreciate the difference; especially those who take a lot of selfies or who continuously run and use high end apps on their phone. The launch of this phone shall be eagerly awaited by lovers of Galaxy series phones.
