9 Best Wallpapers for Android marshmallow

Wallpapers for Android marshmallow in 2016

The new edition of the android mobile operating system is now officially known as ‘ Wallpapers for Android marshmallow ‘, or “Android ‘M'” as its code name suggests.  Officially released in October 2015, Marshmallow’s prime focus is improving the overall user experience of Lollipop.  Android M has also introduced a new permissions architecture, new APIs for contextual assistants which is a feature notably put to maximum use by “Google Now on Tap”—a new strength of the Google Search app.

A new power management system that reduces background activity when a device is not being physically handled and local support for fingerprint recognition has been introduced too. Besides that, USB Type-C connectors and to be able to migrate data to a micro SD card and use it as primary storage have been added, as well as other internal changes.  None of that will do you any good right now. The final structure and changes of Android 6.0 Marshmallow is not really ready for the public in general. To compensate for that, Google has updated the M preview to the third version. That is the final update until the official release. The final release date has not been sorted out yet. But there is a possibility of it happening simultaneously with the launch of the new Nexus devices.

There are not a lot of changes in this new preview which catches the eye though Google has included a handful of new wallpapers that are already available for download at the moment. All in all there are a total of nine wallpapers found in the original package of the new developer preview. A few of these look familiar, but they have also got some new ones. You can grab all nine new images below. Scroll further to find them out:

These wallpapers are more or less similar to the backgrounds we have already seen and used in Android 5.0 Lollipop. Some of them are Arial shots. That looks like they have been taken from Google Earth. Along with that, there are even a few pretty landscape shots thrown in inside a bundle of other colorful patches. Google has also included three paper-like wallpapers, each with its own bright color scheme and unique texture. You will find several new geometric material design inspired wallpapers included, as well as several great new nature-themed walls.

Be ready to be surprised by the Material Design wallpapers. They weren’t made on a computer but are actually sculptural objects, crafted from paper, card, ink and pigment, and then photographed. Do you want to get a wee bit of that Android Marshmallow look? But you don’t quite want to have flash beta preview software or don’t have a phone to install it on? If so, the nine new wallpapers from Android 6.0 marshmallow are a good start. You could consider saving it to use on your device. They all look really nice and elegant, and are definitely worth checking out. Do not forget to tell us your favorite ones.
